1. License grant
Subject to an active subscription and these terms, MUSO.AI grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to request data from the API and display it inside your own application, to your own end users, at the moment it is fetched (the “License”).
Your subscription licenses Muso credits & stats for use INSIDE your own application, for your own users. It does not grant the right to resell, redistribute, or feed Muso data into another product or service — and it is a LIVE license: data is fetched from the API at the moment of use, never stored on your side.
2. Live use only — no caching or storage
Muso data must be requested live from the API at the time of use. API responses may not be cached, stored, retained, or written to any database, file, index, or datastore beyond the transient in-memory handling of the current request.
Transient in-memory handling of the current request — holding a response just long enough to render it to the requesting user — is part of normal live use. Anything more durable (a cache layer, a database row, a file, a search index, a training corpus, an embedding store) is storage and is outside this License.
3. Prohibited uses
The following are outside the License and are material breaches:
- Resale — You may not sell, sublicense, or otherwise make Muso data available to third parties as data.
- Redistribution — Data may not be re-exposed via your own bulk API, export, or feed in a way that reconstitutes the Muso graph.
- Cloning — You may not use the API to systematically replicate the catalog or train a competing credits/stats database.
- Substitution — you may not present Muso data as originating from your own or any other data source, or use it to build a substitute for the Muso graph.
- Circumvention — rate limits, quotas, and the usage ceiling are terms of this License, not merely technical settings; evading them (including across multiple accounts or keys) is a breach of the License itself.
4. Storage is an enterprise arrangement
Need to cache or store Muso data locally? Enterprise agreements include a term-limited storage license: you may cache and store licensed data locally for the duration of your agreement, under its security controls, with certified deletion when the agreement ends. Standard plans remain live-use only — talk to sales.
To be explicit: a signed enterprise agreement grants a TERM-LIMITED storage license — during the term of the agreement you may locally cache and store licensed Muso data as the agreement defines (what may be stored, where, and under what security controls). When the agreement expires or terminates, the storage license ends with it: stored data must be permanently deleted, and deletion certified in writing on request.
Nothing in this standard document grants storage rights; on standard plans the license is live-use only. Storage rights exist only in a signed enterprise agreement.
5. Traceability
Every API response is traceable to the key that requested it. You consent to this traceability and agree not to remove, alter, or obscure identifying characteristics of licensed data. If licensed data appears outside a licensed application, MUSO.AI may attribute it to the responsible workspace.
6. Anything else requires written consent
Any use beyond in-app consumption requires written consent from Muso. When in doubt, ask.
7. Verification and remedies
If MUSO.AI reasonably believes the License is being breached, it may ask you to certify in writing how licensed data is being handled, and may suspend keys while a suspected breach is investigated.
You agree that breach of this License — in particular storage, redistribution, or cloning of licensed data — causes harm that money alone cannot repair, and that MUSO.AI is entitled to seek injunctive relief in addition to any other remedy.
8. Term and effect of termination
The License lasts as long as your subscription and ends immediately when the subscription ends or is terminated for breach. Because the License never permits storage, ending it means one thing: stop requesting and displaying the data. Anything retained in breach must be permanently destroyed, and on request you will certify in writing that it has been.
9. Order of precedence
A signed enterprise agreement supersedes this document where the two conflict. Otherwise, this Data License Agreement and the Platform Terms of Service together govern Platform data use; where they conflict about data handling, this document controls.
This agreement is governed by the same law, venue, and dispute terms as the Platform Terms of Service.
